FOCUS Weekend Away is an opportunity for all ages to head away to Coolum to focus on God, our community, and the beach! Across the weekend there is plenty of time to relax, meet some new people, and grow as disciples. It is an exciting opportunity to gather with people from every congregation and every location!
Brian served as principal of Ridley College until 2024. Now on the faculty as a lecturer in New Testament he has more time for speaking and writing and has stopped chasing his tail. A scholar of international reputation, he is the author of a bunch of books, including most recently, How to Find Yourself: Why Looking Inward is Not the Answer. Married to Nat who is a minister at St Jude’s in Melbourne, he has four children and two grandchildren. An ordinary Christian like the rest of us, Brian has made it his life’s mission to learn how the grace of God teaches us to live.
Be devoted to prayer. Keep on praying. Pray continually. Most Christians struggle in their prayer lives to meet these goals. Thankfully, the Bible’s instructions on how to pray, what to pray, and to whom we pray lifts this burden and gives us a realistic perspective and pathway to praying consistently and with confidence.
Includes accommodation both nights at the beach, and all meals from Saturday breakfast to Sunday lunch.
