The Centre for Work + Faith seeks to equip workers to explore how following Jesus transforms why we work, how we work, and how God uses our frontlines for his glory.
Work is where the majority of us spend more of our time. So what does it look like to be a disciple of Jesus in the workplace?
The two keys ways we seek to equip and encourage workers on their frontlines are through Work + Faith Monthly Meetings and Frontline Breakfasts (see below for more info).
Join us first Wednesday each month at 7AM at Catholic Care.
Work + Faith Monthly Meetings
Join us for the our Frontline Monthly Meeting on the first Wednesday of the month, from 7am - 8am at Catholic Care in Toowoomba City (502 Ruthven St). To get updates and resources about upcoming meetings, fill out the form below.
The meeting is a chance to gather with other workers, explore what following Jesus looks like in the workplace, and pray for one another about the specific challenges and opportunities we have at work.
Check out the Transforming Work app!
The topics we are exploring include:
Why does work matter?
How can I do good work?
How can I flourish at work?
How can I influence the culture of my workplace?
How can I improve relationship at work?
How can I tackle workplace issues with biblical principles?
How can I remain fruitful over the long-term?
If you are interested in going deeper, download the app Transforming Work which has a range of great videos, articles and interviews about discipleship in the workplace (download here for apple or android).
Frontline Breakfasts
Throughout the year, we host a number of breakfasts focusing on a particular industry and hear from a guest speaker at what following Jesus looks like there. Upcoming breakfasts planned will be focusing on Agriculture & Agribusiness, Education & Early Childhood, Non-for Profit, and Business & Law.
