The letter to the Colossians is a breathtaking and prayer-soaked encouragement to a young church seeking to faithfully walk in the way of Jesus (the resurrected and exalted Messiah), hold fast to the Gospel, and grow in maturity. Paul paints an evocative picture of the supremacy of Jesus in order that their community and lives would be transformed by the Gospel. We’re challenged to grow in our vision of who Jesus is that we might increasingly build our lives upon and around the risen Lord Jesus.
