The Bible provides a firm foundation in many areas of present and lasting significance. These areas include the problem of sin, the way to forgiveness, salvation through faith, relationship with God, our purpose in life (and death), many dimensions of Christian living, and the grand narrative of creation-fall-redemption-new creation (just to name a few!). However, whilst there much of which we can be confident, there are also some parts of Scripture that some find perplexing and can—at times—leave us confused!
In this three-week miniseries, we’ll explore a few particularly perplexing passages to help us appreciate the limits of our knowing, the importance of context, and how to work through sections of the Bible that we may previously have relegated to the ‘too-hard-basket’. We might even be surprised at how instructive—even the most confusing parts of Scripture—can be.
