As Jesus commanded all his followers, the first part of our mission at St Bart’s is to make disciples (Matt 28:19-20). This is a task for every follower of Jesus, to invite others to follow Jesus too! One of the best ways to begin making disciples is by praying for the people on our frontlines. Sometimes we might think people are too far from God, that we are not persuasive enough, or that we are not the right person to share the gospel. But we can begin by praying! 

1. Write down the names of 3-5 people on your frontline.
2. Commit to praying for these people each day. Put the names somewhere you will see it each day (on the fridge, mirror, or on your desk). 

Next Step: Invite to Alpha. The next step is to invite these people to Alpha! Alpha is an 8-week course where people can explore questions about life and faith. Eight weeks might seem like a lot, but it gives time for people to build trust and explore their questions. Nearly everyone wishes Alpha went for longer! 

Invite the people you are praying for to the Alpha Launch Party, on Monday 7 October, 6:15pm for burgers and a taste of Alpha.
