Follow the Clues takes the children on a fact-finding mission through the Bile, learning about the promises that God gave to his people through the generations. With the help of some 1920’s detectives and private investigators, the children will discover evidence in the Bible proving that God promised to restore our relationship with him, and that all of his promises across the ages were fulfilled in Jesus.

Purposeful Parenting Workshop Materials

Purposeful Parenting Workshop Materials

This morning Bettrys and Amy facilitated the next instalment in our ‘Purposeful Parenting’ workshops on “Actively Discipling our Kids“. The session focused on how to develop daily habits that match the rhythms of busy family life; the importance of regular discipleship within a community; and the role a parent/guardian plays in modelling strong discipleship practices in their own life.

Purposeful Parenting - Actively Discipling Our Kids

Purposeful Parenting - Actively Discipling Our Kids

Parenting is often described as one of the hardest jobs one might ever undertake. Not long after having a newborn, many parents discover that the ‘textbooks’ often fail in preparing you adequately for this role. On top of wanting to provide the best physical, emotional, and psychological home for our children, we must not overlook the importance of nurturing the spiritual life of our children.

On the July 28, come and hear how to disciple your kids with intentionality. We will talk about how to develop daily habits that match the rhythms of busy family life; the importance of regular discipleship within a community; and the role a parent/guardian plays in modelling strong discipleship practices in their own life.

CHARGE Term 2 Wrap-Up

CHARGE Term 2 Wrap-Up

CHARGE on Friday night is finished for another term at St Bart’s! It has been so amazing to see the youth bringing their friends and to see them really grow in their faith. It was fantastic to see the youth learn about the different genre’s and books of the bible, and how they all fit into God’s redemptive plan for us. We also had our annual CHARGE’s got talent, girls and guys night and the FOCUS weekend away in Coolum. Next term, we are doing the for the love of God series, where the youth have selected various topics that they want to explore about Christianity. All high schoolers from grade 7-12 are welcome, so please invite anyone who you think would be interested in coming along on Friday nights from 6:30-9pm at St Bart’s!

New Series Starting Next Sunday (June 30)

Next Sunday we will start a new three-week Winter Warmer Series on REST. There will be hot food between our morning services each week and at 6PM as we explore this amazing gift and and commandment.. So come along (7.30AM, 9.30AM, and 6PM) as we warm up and seek to grow in God’s gift of rest+God, rest+work, and rest+eternity.

Prayer Night this Monday (Booklet + Register Online)

Prayer Night this Monday (Booklet + Register Online)

This Monday night, we will gather together as a church to express our dependence on God in prayer. Prayer is absolutely fundamental to who we are and what we do as a church; without prayer, we’re simply seeking to go ahead - or stray beyond - God’s own will and ways (we’ve been reminded already in our 1 Samuel series how perilous that is!). So Monday night, we will gather from 5.30-7.30PM (first to share in a meal from 5.30PM, and then to pray from 6.30PM) at St Bart’s. If you haven’t yet registered, please do so that we can ensure sufficient catering. If you are unavailable, you can download the pray booklet that will help give focus to our prayer on the night and this term.

The Marriage Course starts May 28 (Register Online)

The Marriage Course starts May 28 (Register Online)

The Marriage Course is a fantastic seven week course for married couples who want to be growing in their marriage. Each night consists of a two-course meal, a practical video, and (private) time for discussion as a couple (there’s no group work!). Topics are practical and the course comes from Holy Trinity Brompton (in London) - the same church as Alpha.

Prayer Night May 13 with Meal

Prayer Night May 13 with Meal

We of course pray in many ways, but one of the special ways that we do so is together each term at our prayer nights. This year, we’ve been running these prayer nights a little differently, starting with a meal. After the meal, we have a focused one hour of worship and prayer, with interactive stations with various focus areas. These nights have been designed to be intergenerational and flexible. You can pray by yourself, in a small group, with no pressure at all to pray out loud. The evening meal will be at 5:30PM at a small cost of $5, with prayer starting at 6.30PM and finishing by 7.30PM sharp. We would love to see you there!

Appointment of Holly Adamson as Ministry Intern

I’m very excited to announce today that we (pending a licence from the Archbishop) have appointed Holly Adamson as an additional intern to minister specifically within the Children, Youth, and Families department, focusing on Friday Kids Club. Holly serves in a variety of ways at church and has a background in early childhood, more recently working as a nanny. This was a role that we had budgeted for 2019 to help support growth, so the timing is opportune in order to provide further support. Please be praying for Holly as she begins this one day/week role. You can also listen the interview on our website.

Easter Services Thank You (+ Talks)

Easter Services Thank You (+ Talks)

Sincere thank you to everyone involved in our Easter services who prayed, served, and joined us across the weekend. Over the course of a few days, we welcomed over 1200 people to St Bart’s and Picnic Point. There was such joy in journeyed through Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Day, as we were reminded of God’s great love fo rate world poured out through his son on the cross. We also rejoiced that just as Jesus has risen, all to who trust in him will be raised forever! There also have been some fantastic contacts made and some fantastic conversations about Jesus. Please be praying that the Gospel seeds planted may take root in people’s lives.

Introducing Jesus Course

Introducing Jesus Course

Introducing Jesus is a short, four-week course (1hr sessions) that can be completed in a small group or one-on-one. Looking at one of the Gospels (i.e., the early accounts of Jesus) we examine Jesus’ life, death, message, and invitation. There’s no pressure and you’re welcome to ask whatever questions that you would like to! If you’re not sure what you think of Jesus, then this could be a great option to explore. To register your interest, simply complete the form.

CHARGE Term 1 Wrap-Up

CHARGE Term 1 Wrap-Up

CHARGE on Friday night is finished for another term at St Bart’s! It has been a joy to welcome some new youth this year and see familiar faces back. From how did we get here?, to what has Jesus got to do with me? We have explored the big questions of life through the NUA Film Series. We also had our annual Messy Games night, Q & A night and movie night, which are always a hit. Thank you to the people of St Bart’s for your continual support of this vital ministry.
