From Friday May 31 to Sunday June 2, we’ll be heading to Coolum Beach for our first ever FOCUS Weekend Away. Join us for what will be an amazing weekend away to focus on God, grow as disciple makers (of all ages), and have fun at the beach. We’ve got lots of great things planned including worship, helpful talks, lots of free time, and special meals. Some of the optional activities also include an incredible flying fox, a water park, cycling, walking, and plenty of other quieter things too.

Please join with me in giving great thanks to God for the life of Dot Edwards who went home to be with her Lord on Friday. Dot was an incredible women - 98 years old - of faith. Funeral details are not yet finalised, but will most likely be at St Bart’s sometime during the week starting March 18. Please also be praying for her family, along with all who grieve. May she rest in peace and rise in glory. Some may remember that Dot was one of three (along with Vi and Bob) featured in a pair of videos in 2013 on faithful witnesses. You can watch them below.
Give thanks for: mission training at St Andrew’s Hall, Melbourne; for new missionaries in training; opportunities to take the Gospel to the mission field; for the gift of children to CMS missionaries. Pray for: language learning for missionaries; for blessings on children of missionaries that they may also find opportunities to share the Gospel with new friends; blessings for Mark Fairhurst as he leads the QNNSW CMS team in continued support for missionaries.

As we begin Lent, please join us for this reflective service. As we approach Easter, this service helps us to consider our own mortality, brokenness, and sinfulness whilst recalling (in anticipation of celebrating) Jesus’ great triumph on the cross and in his resurrection. Be sure also to join us on the night before for our Pancake Party (7-8PM).
“Shrove Tuesday” has traditionally been the day on which all of the ‘goodies’ were used up in a household in preparation for Lent beginning the next day (i.e., Ash Wednesday). With that in mind, we’re inviting everyone along to a pancake party on Tuesday March 5 from 7-8PM. This is just a great opportunity for fun and to grow closer as community. Come along and bring along your favourite pancake toppings to share with everyone.
Great work to the St Bart's social walking group who donned the St Bart's welcome shirts and completed peak to park this morning! If you're interested in joining the social walking group, they meet each Tuesday at 7.30AM at St Bart's, with coffee and a chat afterwards.
Pray for peace in South Sudan. Safety for Bishop Daniel and prayer for families who recently lost loved ones when they were ambushed. Pray for the Deng family that God would sustain them and encourage them as they serve the Lord. Pray for the planned Dinka conference to take place at St Bart’s in June.
Happy Birthday to: Leisa Bonaventura, Kiara Oliveira, Michael Calder, Paul Rouhead, Colin Henry, Katy Goodall, Geoff Mathies, Ron Teys, Bryce Evitt, Noah Lumong, Nate Mason, Tom Newman, Geoff O’Shannassy, Jocelyn Harvey, Vince Little, Christiane Schimke
Happy Anniversary to: Diana & Lawrence Wong, Birgit Jacobson, Leigh & Mark Plummer
What did early church gatherings look like? Did they meet in big public gatherings or in small groups at private homes? Did they have music and corporate prayer, or in-depth Bible study and personal prayer? It seems the early church had both! In Acts the disciples of Jesus meet in a variety of forums.
