Death of the Rev'd James Ajak

It is with great sadness but with a certain hope in the Lord that I share that the Rev’d James Ajak passed away this morning. Please join with me in grieving the death of our brother, especially praying for his wife Rebecca and their children (including Grace, who was born three days ago). Please also be praying for the Sudanese community in Toowoomba (along with those further afield), as they grieve the loss of their minister. From October 2-5 (Tuesday to Friday), St Bart's will be hosting a fantastic 'Egyptian Adventures' Holiday Kids Club! Registrations will be open soon, but we still need some more team members to join the already amazing team. In particular, we are seeking people who are interested in running a 1-hr elective in cooking or craft on any of the holiday kids club days. All activities are organised, and it will just involve some preparation and running the session with the kids (other leaders will support). If you're able or interested in assisting, please contact Bettrys (bettrys@stbarts.com.au) or Amy (amy@stbarts.com.au).

Baptisms and Confirmations

Baptisms and Confirmations

At St Bart’s, we’re focused together in the making and maturing of disciples of Jesus for God’s glory. That means that we love to see people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, along with continuing to mature in that relationship for their entire lives. Baptism and Confirmation are important public expressions of our trust in Jesus. Whilst we can of course baptise at any time, we will be celebrating with special services on December 2, followed by an opportunity for Confirmation on December 16.

Prayer Night Thanks & Booklet

Prayer Night Thanks & Booklet

Thank you to everyone who was part of our prayer night on Monday. It was such a great joy to join together for a meal, pray, and worship together. If you weren't able to make it along, you can download a copy of the prayer booklet in PDF. The booklet contains a range of ideas of how to pray for the life of our church, city, nation, and world. You can also pick up printed copies at church and check out some of the prayer ideas (on cards) near the next steps wall. What a privilege and a joy it is to come before our God who can do immeasurably more than we dare dreamed or imagined for his glory and kingdom!
