I’m excited that on Thursday, June 13 (6-7.30AM), we will be hosting the first of a series of ‘frontline’ breakfasts. This breakfast will be for the ‘Medical and Allied Health’ professions (including doctors, dentists, dietitians, medical students, nurses, podiatrists, physiotherapists, psychologists, midwives, counsellors, social workers, occupational therapists, pharmacists, chaplains, pastoral carers, and more!). In future breakfasts, we are planning to focus on: Agriculture and Agribusiness; Education and Early Childhood; and Building and Construction.
Our guest speaker for this breakfast will be George Savvides. George has extensive experience in the medical sector, having been CEO of Medibank Private, a current board member of a number of related companies, and also chairman (recently retired) of World Vision Australia. He has a passion for healthcare and will share how Jesus inspired him to serve in this vital field. There will be a great breakfast, opportunity to connect with others, along with a Q&A after the keynote. We’ll also hear from the Lean family (via video) as they serve in Kudjip.
Want to get involved?
PRAY: Please pray that God will draw many people along to this event and be encouraged as they seek to serve Jesus in medicine and allied health.
REGISTER: If you serve in this field, please register to come along ($30 or $20 for students). Go to: stbarts.com.au/frontline
PROMOTE & INVITE: Share the Facebook event or our website. This is a great opportunity to invite friends who work in these fields, even those who are not yet followers of Jesus.
JOIN THE TEAM: We'll need people to help with registration and welcoming. If you could assist, please email Amy Norman (firstname.lastname@example.org).
