Opportunity to Assist Asylum Seekers in Toowoomba

Toowoomba is a place where a number of asylum seekers are placed. There are always new families and needs. As a church what a great opportunity we have to be a welcoming and supportive community to these folk - mostly coming from places without much or any exposure to Christ. A small family from the middle east just arrived in Toowoomba on the weekend and are currently being housed in a  red cross house that is completely empty barring a cot for their child and two beds. One of our members, Richard Hargreaves, is currently seeking to build a list of people who might be interested in helping in this area. If you are interested in becoming involved and think you might be able to help out, please leave your or contact details on the sheet on information table, or contact the Parish Office (office@stbarts.com.au) and register your interest.
